Transportation

Types of Transportation Available to Campus
All major airlines fly to Nashville International Airport, Tenn., two hours from the campus. Commuter flights are available to Barkley Regional Airport in Paducah, approximately 45 minutes from the campus. The closest Amtrak service is in Fulton,KY., approximately 35 miles from the campus; however, no taxi or bus service is available at the train depot. Security Taxi and Taxi Express are available for transportation to and from the airports and bus terminals. Taxi Express provides transportation within the city of Murray. Security Taxi, 270-443-4442; Taxi Express, 270-759-TAXI.
Driving Instructions to Campus
From the northeast via the Bluegrass Pkwy: Take the Bluegrass to the Western Kentucky Parkway. Continue west to I-24 and proceed west to the Purchase Parkway (Exit 25A). See "From the east or west via I-24". From the east or west via I-24: Take the exit for the Purchase Pkwy (Exit 25A) and proceed south approximately 9 miles. Exit onto Hwy 641 (sign marked "Murray State University"-Exit 41) and drive south to Murray south to Chestnut Street) and turn right (west). Drive approximately four blocks to Curris Center and turn left into parking lot. From the east or west via I-40: Take I-40 to Highway 641 and proceed north to Murray. Continue to the intersection with Chestnut Street and turn left (west). Drive approximately 4 blocks to Curris Center and turn left into the parking lot. From southeast Missouri: From I-57 take the Charleston/Wyatt exit and proceed east on Hwy. 60/62. In Wickliffe, KY., take Highway 121 which will take you through Mayfield, KY.Take the Mayfield bypass to Highway 80 and on to Murray. Exit to the right on 641. Once in Murray Turn right (west) onto Chestnut Street, drive approximately 4 blocks to Curris Center on your left. Parking is available in front of building.
