Message from the President. On behalf of the entire Fontbonne University family, I am pleased to welcome you to our web site. As you navigate these electronic pages, I trust that you will find whatever information you seek about our University. When you explore the Fontbonne University campus, either in person or on a virtual visit like this, you will learn that Fontbonne has certain advantages that are evidenced in the following ways: Location Our campus is located in the heart of Clayton, Missouri, which is one of the most beautiful suburbs in the United States. There is easy access from our campus to Forest Park, the St. Louis Zoo, the Art Museum and the History Museum. In addition, you are approximately fifteen minutes from downtown St. Louis, home of the St. Louis Cardinals, NFL Rams and NHL Blues. Academics The academic programs are excellent, and they are taught in a values-based, student-centered context. Because of our student-faculty ratio, the faculty know you as an individual and will help you incorporate experiential learning in your academic program. Focus The individual student is the primary focus at Fontbonne University. You are the central focus of the administration, faculty and staff. We are dedicated to your academic, moral, emotional, spiritual, social, cultural, career and co-curricular development. Ultimate Goal At Fontbonne, we strive to achieve strength of curriculum and strength of character. Therefore, we will teach you not only how to make a living but also how to live a life so that you are prepared to face the challenges of the 21st century and to prevail. Fontbonne is a Catholic University sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. We are co-educational with 2,800 students, and a student body comprised of both traditional-aged undergraduate students as well as adult learners. All of our students are taught to think critically, to act ethically and to assume responsibility as citizens and leaders for a world in need. If you are seeking a university education where the individual student is at the epicenter of all activity, then Fontbonne is for you. I invite you to visit our campus in person and come to know and value, as we do, the advantage that is a Fontbonne University education. Dennis C. Golden President

St. Louis Science Center
St. Louis, Missouri USA. St. Louis has numerous activities for people of all ages. But one of the best advantages of living in St. Louis is the cost of many of the attractions - often FREE. Other cities may charge $25 or more for their science center, or double digits to get into the art museum or the zoo, but not here. With university students on a tight budget, this makes Fontbonne University a great place to go to school. Whether it is the art museum, the zoo, the science center, our great sports teams, the culture of a world class symphony, theater or more; St. Louis is the place for attractions! Students are encouraged to get out and explore the great city of St. Louis. All resident students are allowed to have cars, which are helpful in the metro area. Buses run regularly from campus.
