Students looking for “a quality school located in a quiet area that is great for learning” are encouraged to check out Pittsburg State University’s Gladys A. Kelce College of Business. This “top ranked” Kansas program has “an outstanding faculty, beautiful campus, and very friendly atmosphere.” “At PSU, students come first” and the “student-centered mentality seems to permeate the entire system.” Students love the cost, bragging about how “cheap [it is] to go here” despite having an “international reputation.” Applicants might be surprised at the “global connections for such a small time Kansas school.” This reputation seems prominent in Saudi Arabia, as several students said they came to PSU based on a “Government of Saudi recommendation” that commended the “family friendliness for married students.”

“There is an excellent diversity of professors at PSU,” one happy student says. “Even though I am a ‘non-traditional’ student, I feel that I have really grown academically and personally due to the guidance of the PSU professors.” The professors are “excellent academics” “with real world experiences” who are “very dedicated to their students. These “consummate professionals” are “engaging” and illuminate students with their extensive “professional experience.” That said, some students feel that some professors “are stuck in the dark ages” and “need to update their materials and ‘real world’ examples.” “Classes are small” at PSU, and professors know their students by name. Students think that the “administration is great” and the staff as a whole is “friendly, helpful, and respectful to their students.” The building itself “is old and could use some facelift,” and the school as a whole is “getting too small for the growing student body,” although an estimated $19 million renovation is in the works. “PSU offers a very diverse array of academic studies,” one student says, “most notably: accounting, business administration, education, plastics engineering, construction management, and automotive engineering.” “I love the professors of the management and marketing office of Pittsburg State,” one student says. “I feel that they have honed my ability to think critically, speak in public, and work in a team.”
