Career Experience
In my career, I've spent time working behind a desk and behind the wheel of a forklift, under fluorescent lights and the hot sun, learning about what the world has to offer. Currently I am working in a hybrid position as a cybersecurity software engineer and hardware manager! Working in cybersecurity, I have developed the skill to be capable of explaining tasks & projects on varying levels of details to my peers and users. This can be applied to my tutoring of the different math levels (e.g. algebra and elementary math): when it comes to solving equations, you and I are competent enough to skip some steps because we just know how it works. However, to the younger minds that aren't as comfortable (yet) working these problems, each step can be broken down into smaller, greater detailed bits allowing for it to be explained in more substantial detail. Which in turn, can allow students to gain better knowledge of how equations get solved on a more fundamental level, establishing a more-firm base to move forward with in their education.
I Love Tutoring Because
I love to be able to help kids learn things in new ways that weren't taught to me. I want to help them realize that learning is a fun activity and ensure that they never stop asking questions as they get older.
