Career Experience
I have worked in the educational field for over ten years. I started my career experience as a high school guidance counselor helping students with their academic, career, and personal goals. During my time as a guidance counselor, I helped establish an annual career/college expo for our college bound students. My career experience also includes tutoring students in mathematics and reading as well as experience in tutoring students with special needs. I have also had the privilege of serving as a board member for a non-profit organization that supports youth in my local community. Much of my knowledge in writing was gained during my doctoral program. I graduated with my terminal degree during the pandemic, and my research focused on adult learners in pursuit of a high school diploma.
I Love Tutoring Because
I am able to help/assist students reach their academic goals. I am a big fan of one-on-one instruction because I am able to focus on the individual learner's needs.
