Career Experience
I have tutored students for twenty years and taught remedial algebra in a college setting several semesters. Over the years, I have tutored students from junior high through college, and most of the students have been with me for multiple years. One particular student started with me in 7th grade algebra and ended with multivariable calculus in college. Currently, I am the graduate school coordinator at our local university.
I Love Tutoring Because
helping students learn they are actually good at math is so rewarding! While math is not everyone's favorite subject, I can at least show students it may not be as bad as they once thought. You don't hear many students say "I can't read," but you hear many students say "I can't do math." I want to change that culture because everyone can do math if given the right guidance and opportunity.
