Career Experience
I have been tutoring since I was in high school; I tutored kids in English literature, grammar, and writing. I continued to tutor during college and worked as a private tutor after graduating with my degree in Linguistics. I was able to work with both young students and adults, and my linguistic skills came in handy many times. I also worked as a pronunciation coach and used my knowledge of phonetics and phonology to help non-native English speakers improve their American English accent. I did this by teaching them all the different sounds in the English language using the IPA, otherwise known as the International Phonetic Alphabet. I also directed them on how to position their lips, tongue, teeth, etc., to produce these sounds. With my specialized knowledge and experience in tutoring over the years, I am excited to further help more students in their academic journey and goals!
I Love Tutoring Because
I enjoy helping students develop their skills, whether that be in writing, grammar, pronunciation, etc. With my help, I hope that they can become confident in their ability to solve problems and think critically.
