Eight semester hours (with lab) each in biology, chemistry,and physics (or four hours of physics and a statistics course); four hours of organic chemistry; and three semester hours of biochemistry are required. In addition, applicants must have taken six semester hours of English. We accept students without regard to legal state of residence. Usually 70 percent of students are from states other than Iowa. You can apply while working on your undergraduate degree but you should have plans to receive it by the time you register with the College. The MCAT (taken within the last two years) is required.
