The University of North Texas's College of Business offers three distinct online MBA opportunities. Students may complete 100 percent online coursework to earn a degree in strategic management, marketing, or finance. The program consists of 36 hours of coursework and is comprised of the same courses in UNT's on-campus MBA program, though notably, some online MBA classes require proctored examinations that can be conducted either on campus in Denton, Texas, or arranged at a community college near the student's residence. Students choose UNT's online MBA because it's "very affordable," offers "a flexible online format from an AACSB[-accredited] program," and most of all because they believe in "the value it adds to my resume post-MBA." Students feel they have much to gain from UNT's "strong mix of international and U.S. students," who "are outstanding, and I would like to network with them." They're "intelligent and eager to learn, while also balancing their current career and family," and they "continually challenge me to perform better." "Group participation is always high." UNT's Blackboard online platform "enables seamless communication" and engenders "user-friendly" collaboration: "Most people are very active in discussion boards and there are typically study groups that break out in each class." "Seeing that I have been able to complete my MBA from overseas, the program has exceeded my expectations with the overall compatibility of functionality from my location." Students widely praise the faculty: "My professors have been very instrumental in the success of my program." Instructors "offer effective online tools and discussion topics that are really good at generating creative thinking." "From administration to teachers to advisors, the UNT business school team is very supportive and helpful when questions arise." Being "able to maintain a work life balance" makes "it more important to schedule and prioritize tasks," but "the online format is very flexible" and "allows me to still travel for work and personal trips without missing class."
