Career Experience

I am a second-year graduate student currently working on my master’s degree in chemistry, and I have been an organic chemistry tutor at my university and online for the past 3 years. I was a supplemental instructor for the lecture, and I have also taught multiple lab sections. I will be graduating this coming Spring 2023 semester, and I plan to tutor others in my spare time!

I Love Tutoring Because

I love helping others understand the subject I have long been passionate about. It was not until my undergrad experience that I knew organic chemistry would be my strongest subfield, but I have always loved chemistry since my early high school years. Conveying my strong feelings for the subject takes the form of tutoring and teaching others about the knowledge I have acquired in pursuit of my passion. Helping others understand how chemistry applies to our day-to-day lives is part of my teaching so students can appreciate the practical applications of the sciences.

By far the best tutor I have ever had. However, I am not a fan of the system nor the fact that I MUST type instead of using my voice or video chat to ask questions. I find the keyboard to be rather slow and mundane
