I am an English teacher who enjoys teaching academic writing to students from all over the world. My career has taken me through classrooms, tutoring spaces, and online platforms across different countries, where I’ve had the joy of helping students grow more confident in their writing and communication skills. My career started as an English literature teacher, then expanded to academic editing, essay feedback, and one-on-one tutoring for college students. Along the way, I’ve been lucky enough to travel and connect with learners from many cultures — each one shaping how I teach and understand language. Those experiences taught me that good writing is about more than grammar or grades; it is about expressing yourself clearly and connecting with your reader on the page. These days, I focus on helping students develop strong, authentic voices in their essays — whether it’s crafting a powerful thesis, organizing ideas more smoothly, or just learning to trust their words. My approach is warm, practical, and centered on growth. I love seeing students realize that writing can actually be enjoyable (and not just an assignment to survive!).

I Love Tutoring Because

it allows me to witness those “aha!” moments when a student suddenly sees their own ability to express complex ideas clearly. Helping someone discover confidence in their writing - especially when they start out doubting themselves - is incredibly rewarding. Every session reminds me that teaching is really about connection, encouragement, and growth on both sides.

It would be nice if we could send things like instructions or rubrics to the tutor as some want different things. Also, being able to have more time in one session.
